Course Description
MacBook 101 - Getting Started with MacBook
Bring your MacBook, Air, or Pro to class to learn the Mac Operating System (MacOS) on your personal Apple computer. If you’re new to computers, or switching from a Windows computer, this course will give you the needed skills and confidence to use your laptop computer for the tasks you want to accomplish. We will cover the basics of saving files so you can find needed files quickly, using the included Apple software to keep you organized and on schedule, communicating with friends and family, and adjusting the System Preferences to better fit your personal needs. It is required that you bring to class your personal MacBook so that you may follow along in this easy step-by-step course.
Sessions: 8 weekly two-hour class periods for a total of 16 hours
Course Requirements
Text: No text book is required for this course. We will be using the Apple User Guide as well as the Help Menu in each app

Your Apple Account and iCloud set up and usage
Apple filing system and saving files effectively in the Finder

Basic MacBook maintenance and security
