I have the Fall 2017 Blue Ridge Community College schedule of my classes available online. In the Fall I'll be offering some of my regular classes as well as some newly created Apple iOS classes for the iPhone and iPad.

Due to advancements and changes in iOS for iPad and iPhone I thought it was time to rewrite the courses to better cover the iPhone and iPad. Replacing the current iPhone and iPad Made Easy courses we will be separating the 2 current courses into three — two 101 and one 201 level courses. New this Fall are 4-week iPhone 101 and iPad 101 courses covering the basics of each device. Each 4-week course will offer the basics of using your new iPhone or iPad including physical and on-screen features of each device, surfing the Web, using the Phone app (iPhone only), iMessage texting, taking photos, and iCloud and your Apple ID.

After completing the 101 level course for your device students will be prepared to take the combined iPhone/iPad 201 course to discover additional apps, features and functions of both devices. Topics covered will include further discussion and use of iCloud, productivity apps such as Contacts, Calendars, and Notes apps. We will also take closer looks into the Photos app as well as the Apps Store, iTunes, and Music apps.

By completing each course I think students will have a better understanding and be prepared to make full use of their Apple devices. Later this summer I'll be adding course descriptions and a syllabus for each course under the Apple Courses section of this website. Please stop by again before classes begin to take a look.

Also new for this Fall is a course, Creating Website with Google Sites, covering the fundamentals of creating a website using Google Sites. Google Sites is a free content management system from Google for creating websites with little or no prior website experience. This website is a good example of what you can expect to learn using Google Sites. I'll have additional information as well as a syllabus available later this summer.

As in previous semesters I will still be offering Lightroom Made Easy, Windows 10, and Basic Office Computing. The Photoshop for Beginners course will be offered again in the Spring of 2018. I'm also looking into offering several more new courses in Spring so be sure to check back here towards the end of the year to find courses that might be of interest to you.
